Carl Camp, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on April 2, 2025, at the age of 89, in Idabel, Oklahoma. Born February 11,1936 in Jack Fork, Oklahoma.
Carl's life was a testament to his strong faith as a long-time member of Lukfata Baptist Church. He and Violet Davis were united in marriage on October 5, 1957, in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, building a life together founded on love, respect, and shared values. Carl's entrepreneurial spirit led him to own and operate Camp Construction for many years. His passion for the land was evident in his ranching.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Carl was known to all as a kind and friendly man, whose generosity of spirit made him a beloved figure in his community.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Cody and Winnie Camp; his son-in-law, Josh Anderson; his brothers, Floyd Camp and wife Jean, Dick Camp, Jerry Camp, Sam Camp, and Dub Camp; his brother-in-law, Ralph Fogg; his sisters, Martha Pratt and husband, Dale, Joyce Beam, Viva Lee Parkison, Pearl Camp, Agnes Camp, Ruby Camp, Alice Camp, and Gussie Camp.
Carl is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Violet Camp, of the home; his daughters, Donna Anderson and Carla Pruitt; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Renee Camp; brothers, James and wife Linda Camp, Paul Camp; sister, Barbara Fogg; sister-in-law, Ruth Camp; brother-in-law, J.E. Beam, all of Broken Bow; his grandchildren, Cody Anderson and wife Kaitlind, Shane Pruitt, Jessica Pruitt, Candice Bolt and husband Brandon, Charise Butler and husband Kyle; his great-grandchildren, Beau, Bria, Braci, Chisolm, and Clancey; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral Services are set for 2:00 PM, Friday, April 4, 2025 at Lukfata Baptist Church, Lukfata, OK. Interment to follow at Watson Memorial Cemetery, Oak Hill Community.
