Carlton Wade Battiest passed from this life July 27, 2020 in Frisco, Texas at the age of 64.
He was born June 16, 1956 in Talihina, OK to parents, Orie and Sally Battiest.
Carlton was an avid OU and Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed dancing, pow wow music, watching wrestling, drinking his Dr. Pepper, and spending time with his family and friends.
Carlton and Martha Jefferson were united in marriage July 25, 1987 and shared thirty-two years together until his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orie Battiest and Sally Crosby; grandson, Malachi Jayden Battiest; father-in-law, O’Sam Jefferson; maternal grandparents, Cyrus and Catherine Battiest, and paternal grandparents; a special friend, Charlie Willis who was like a brother to him.
Carlton leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Martha of the home; his mother-in-law, Marilyn Jefferson; daughters, Camillia Battiest and Carl Cooks, of Broken Bow, Kelli Battiest and David Johnson of Idabel, Destiny Battiest of Broken Bow; son Keith Battiest of Broken Bow; brother, Gerald of Norman, OK; sisters, Darlene Willis and husband, Andrew of Oak Hill Community, Anita Ishcomer of Wright City; grandchildren, Jasmine Cooks, Carl Cooks, Jr., Ayzha Battiest, Eric Jordan Battiest, Kimmie Battiest and Alexia Battiest; special friends, Ramona Willis, Jackson Lewis and Andrew Willis; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 31, 2020 at Slater Memorial Cemetery, Wright City, OK.
