Carolyn Gail Mitchell, age 75, of Broken Bow, passed from this life into eternity, September 4, 2020, in Idabel, OK.
Carolyn was born, July 12, 1945, to Dee Franklin Rogers and Mildred Francis (Moore) Rogers, in Refugio, TX.
She and James shared an amazing love story that lasted 55 years. They eloped to Reno, NV, in 1965. Raised 3 wonderful daughters. She was a Godly example of a wife and mother. Carolyn loved to cook for her family, raise a garden, and canning her harvest. She also loved planting flowerbeds with her granddaughters and watching her grandson’s ballgames. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and sewing. She was always there for her family and loved them deeply.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Dee and Mildred Rogers; brothers, Guinn J. Rogers, in Vietnam, and Hoy Rogers.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, James Earl Mitchell, of the home; children, Cindy Swift and husband, Josh, of Golden, Shari Magar and husband, Cam, of Broken Bow, and Jacy Couture and husband, Matt, of Broken Bow; brother, Larry Rogers, of North Carolina; grandsons, Cutter Swift, Jake Magar, Mitchell Magar, and Luke Magar; granddaughters, Coltan (Swift) Judd and husband, Coltland, Matalee Couture, and Paislee Couture; as well as, many other family and friends.
The family requests that no visitors come by the home.
A viewing for family and friends will be on Sunday, September 6, 2020, from 1:00 – 6:00 PM, at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home.
A Graveside Service will be held on, at 11:00 AM, Monday, September 7, 2020, at the Watson Memorial Cemetery, with Matt Giles officiating.
