Casey Ray Matlock, 35 years young of Garvin, OK departed from this life June 14, 2023 at his home in Garvin. OK. Casey’s grand appearance came on February 19, 1987 in Paris, TX to Charles and Sharen Matlock.

Casey was terrible at telling jokes. He enjoyed watching the movies, Eight Seconds and Cowboy Way. Growing up there was always a house full. If he wasn’t with his two sisters, Tessa and Crystal or one of his closest friends, Kyle McCutcheon, Casey Joe Morgan, Andy McCutcheon, Marvin Alderman or Dakota Ward you can bet he was getting spoiled by his granny Melda. He would say she hung the moon and swear he held the ladder. Casey’s first love was bull riding. He was a true cowboy and won the Youth World Champion Bull Rider. A few rodeos and years later Casey went on to marry his friend and sweetheart of fifteen years, Jerica Burnett in their hometown of Garvin on Valentines Day 2023 to be sure he wouldn’t forget their anniversary. That union brought two sidekicks, twelve-year-old Kaston Wilson and nine-year-old Chance Shomo both of Ft. Towson. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Matlock; paternal grandfather, Clyde Matlock; maternal grandparents, Margaret and Morris Murray and uncle, Dale Matlock.

Casey is survived by his wife, Jerica Matlock of Garvin; mother, Sharen Matlock; children, Kaston Wilson and Chance Shomo both of Ft. Towson; sisters, Crystal Gaines and Tracy of Garvin, Contessa Matlock of Garvin; grandmother, Melda Matlock; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is set for 12:00 p.m., Friday, June 23, 2023 at The Church in Millerton, OK.
