Cecelia McDonald Obituary

Cecelia “Baby Ann” McDonald, 80, of Broken Bow, passed from this life into eternity, August 24, 2020, at her home.

Ann was born, August 22, 1940, to John R. Tucker and Celia (Carter) Tucker, in Broken Bow, OK. She was united in marriage to William “Bill” McDonald, on September 28, 2012, they spent 7 wonderful years together.

Ann had lived in the Broken Bow for most of her life. She was a dispatcher for Broken Bow Police Department, served on the Broken Bow City Council, and worked with juveniles that were in the court system.

Ann was a loving mother and wife and a member of the Pilgrim Rest Church in Valliant, OK. She enjoyed watching T.V., talking on the phone, playing bingo, and going to the casino. Ann loved spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her first husband of 50 years, Pastor Jim Vandiver; parents, John and Celia Tucker; brothers, Ernest “Jack” Tucker, James “Jimmie” Tucker, and John “Johnny” R. Tucker, Jr.; sisters, Earlene Hall and Mary Lou Gray.

Ann leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, William “Bill” McDonald, of the home; children, Jimmie L. Vandiver, Jr., of Broken Bow, Troy L. Vandiver and wife, Kristen, of Aurora, CO, David D. Vandiver, of Broken Bow, and Brenda L. Balfanz and husband, Marc, of Carthage, TX; grandchildren, Troy L. Vandiver, Jr., Kyle Williams and wife, Lydia, Brandon Williams, CeCelia Garringer and many step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Seth Vandiver, Summer Vandiver, Kylie Vandiver, and Ellisyn Garringer, Hunter Williams, and Thomas Williams; as well as, many other family and friends.

A special thank you to Tammy Craft and the entire Complete Home Health Hospice team.

The family requests that visitation and funeral attendees wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2020, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Friday, August 28, 2020, at the First Baptist Church of Broken Bow, with Bro. Pete Wilson officiating, burial will follow at the Crown Hill Cemetery.
