Charlene Gammon entered her Heavenly home surrounded by her loving family early Wednesday morning, January 12, 2022, at the age of 68. She was born on March 22, 1953, in Muleshoe, TX to parents, Marion and Novella (Simpson) Vandever.
Charlene was united in marriage to the love of her life, Earnest Gammon, on December 31, 1970, allowing them to celebrate 51 wonderful years of marriage together. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her hobbies included: singing, dancing, sewing, cooking, playing cards, fishing, crafting, and shopping. She was a kind and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Marion and Novella Vandever, son: Bradley Gammon, five brothers: Marion Vandever Jr., Dale Vandever, Jewel “Pete” Vandever, Aubrey Vandever and Bruce Vandever, one sister: Delinda Cole, and her mother and father in-law: Merle and Joe Gammon.
Charlene leaves to cherish her memory her husband: Earnie Gammon of the home, children: Tammy Gammon, Matthew Gammon, Candice Gammon-Farley, and Jimmy Sherbert all of Broken Bow, Dallas Gammon of Ada, one brother and sister-in-law: Carl and Brenda Vandever of Texarkana, and seven grandchildren: Kennedy Williams, Logan Gammon, Katelyn Sherbert, Taylor Gammon, Anderson Gammon, Harrison Gammon and Benson Gammon, and a whole host of extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Friday evening at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Good News Fellowship Church in Broken Bow with Dr. Doug Deramus and Brent Coffey officiating. Interment is to follow at Battiest Cemetery, Battiest, OK.
