Mr. Charles Edward Chandler was born on March 19, 1940 to Leslie Mae Henderson and Alfred Thompson in Mangum, Oklahoma. He gained his wings on April 2, 2024 in Idabel, Oklahoma.
Charles joined Church at an early age in Mangum. Charles grew up and finished school in Mangum, he then relocated to the Oklahoma City area before moving to Broken Bow in 1977. Charles enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing dominoes and being with family and friends. He was a retired employee from Craig Plant and was also an employee at Thomason Lumber and Pilgrims Pride. He was a 32nd degree Mason.
Charles is preceded in death by his mother, Leslie Mae Henderson; father, Alfred Thompson; three wives, Juanita, Olivia and Shirley Chandler; mother-in-law, Sandra Greenlee.
He leaves to forever cherish his memory, his loving wife of fourteen years and ten months, Feleshia Chandler; seven sons, Charles Chandler, Jr., Paul Chandler (Rebecca), Steve Chandler, Sr. (Shirley), Leslie Chandler, Marcus Chandler (Shyantha), Clarence Castle and Herman Sanders; two daughters, CaSandra Neal (Marvin), Rashonda Sanders (Damien); one sister, Flora Allen; bonus sister, Eyvonne Garret (David); father-in-law, Jake Greenlee, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Jackson (Edmond), Angela Cantley and Tonia Gamble (Tony); a special brother, uncle and friend, Rickey Young, Sr. (Mykeyla); two daughters-in-law, Jessica Cribb and Amy Sanders; nineteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Friday, April 12, 2024 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home, Broken Bow, OK.
Funeral Services are set for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Macedonia Baptist Church, Broken Bow, OK with Rev. Granville Jett and Rev. Steve Chandler, Sr. officiating. Interment to follow at Lukfata Cemetery, Broken Bow, OK.
