Charles Scott, age 86 passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Broken Bow, OK. He was born on June 20, 1937 in Sherwood Community, OK, the son of EW and Effie Scott.

Charles was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and taking care of his cattle. He worked at the Wright City Sawmill for many years.

He was a loving father and grandfather who relished in spending time with his loved ones. He never met a stranger and could often be found visiting with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Scott in 2009, parents, EW “BIG” Scott and Effie Scott; daughter, Madonna Tadlock; brother, John Scott.

Charles is survived by his son, Kevin Scott of Smithville, OK; grandchildren, Stella Bagley and Jeremy of Grannis, AR, Brandon Tadlock of Broken Bow, OK; great-grandchildren, Brendan Tadlock, Cody Bagley and Charles Bagley; special neighbors, Stephanie and Mark Talley of Sherwood, OK, and Judy Seymour of Sherwood, OK; several other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at the Hochatown Assembly of God Church with Rev. Melvin Baker and Rev. Gabe Elliott officiating. Interment will follow at the Sherwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 17, 2024 at the funeral home.
