Charles Trotter Obituary

Charles Lee Trotter, age 74, of Broken Bow, passed from this life after a brief illness on May 22, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Charles was born May 26, 1946 to Sam Trotter and Susie (Rasey) Trotter, in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

He and Mariantonia Cancelliere were united in marriage February 27, 1967 in Naples, Italy, they enjoyed 54 wonderful years together.

Charles attended Sallisaw Public Schools. He joined the Navy in 1963, served as an Electrician, and was honorably discharged in 1969. In the 70’s Charles began working for the Corp. of Engineers in Oklahoma, serving mainly at the Broken Bow powerhouse plant, retiring after 45 years of service.

He was a hardworking man Monday through Saturday, but Sunday was reserved for the Lord only. He kept up with the rent houses. Charles was a special and kind person, generous, and had a big heart to anyone in need. He was of the Baptist faith.

Charles was preceded in death by his father, Sam Trotter; and nephew, Ty Childers.

 He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Mariantonia (Julie) Trotter, of the home;; children, Sonya Trotter Hicks and husband, John of Shreveport, LA and their children Isabella Hicks and Logan Desselle, of Longview, TX, and Samantha Hicks Vines and husband, Zack, of Dallas, TX; mother, Susie Trotter; brother, Thomas Trotter and wife, Stephanie, of Siloam Springs, AR and their children, Chad, Joshua, Adam, and Hailey; sister, Doris Childers and husband, Kenneth and their children, Ashlee Crunkleton and Cole Childers, sister, Billie Sue Nardecchia and husband Phillip, of Colleyville, TX and their children, Natalie, Gina, Audrey, and Nolan; sister-in-law, Irma Silva, of Rockwall, TX and her children, Kyle Silva and wife, Masha, of Cypress, TX and their children, Svetlana and Dmitry and Irma’s daughter, Melissa Silva and Tony Boyd, of Irving, TX and their children, Kamila Boyd and Jett Boyd; brother-in-law, Phil Silva, of Idabel, OK; Charles Trotter was guardian of Bob Loran, of Broken Bow.

 

You’ve gone from our lives, but never from our hearts.

 

A visitation for family and friends will be 1:00 PM Thursday, May 27, 2021 with a Celebration of Life Funeral Service following at 2:00 PM, at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home, with Bro. Pete Wilson officiating, burial will follow at the Broken Bow Cemetery.
