Curtis Thomas Sr, “Copper” 65, of Broken Bow, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, June 30, 2022, in Idabel, OK. He was born on October 7,1956, the son of the late Charles Thomas and Hazel (Stell) Thomas
Curtis was a 1974 graduate of Broken Bow High School . He was known as the one to tell the “Ultimate Dad Jokes”. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife Vickie Thomas; brother Ray Thomas; sister Charlene Dale; great grand- daughter Macie Stinson; nephew Tony Dale.
Curtis leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Shawn Lane and wife, Lisa of Glover, Sharla Thomas of Broken Bow, Sheila Rodgers and husband, Joshua of Broken Bow, Curtis Thomas Jr. and wife, Melissa of Mena, AR; bonus children, Josie, Brandy, Wendy, Stephen Mooney and wife, Mariann; his brothers Clayton Thomas of Lake Murvaul, TX and Rodger Thomas of Quitman, TX; sister Phyllis Franklin of Lake Murvaul, TX; grandchildren, Tristan, Brooke, Bailey, Jaiden, Stormie, Jacob “Peckerhead”, Emily, Sophia, Eric R., Eric G., Stormy, Rustin, special grandchild Nalaa; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday July 5, 2022, at Bunch Singleton Funeral Home.
Funeral Services are set for 10:00 A.M., Wednesday July 6, 2022, at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Lewis Lee Prewitt officiating.
