Dale Mize passed away on March 10, 2025, in Paris, Texas. Born on February 27, 1959, in Idabel, Oklahoma to parents, Tommy and Mary (Balentine) Mize.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Mary Mize, his brothers Bruce and David Mize, his sister Lynette Fields, and two nephews.
Throughout his life, Dale was a hardworking logger, a profession he dedicated himself to until his retirement. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved his children and grandchildren and spending time with them. Dale was the life of any gathering. He enjoyed making people laugh and was always ready to play a joke on someone. He also enjoyed going to the Casino. He made weekly trips to Eagletown, where he would "line family and friends out." Dale loved to “stalk” his family on Life 360.
Dale is survived by his devoted wife, Blanchie Mize, of their home; children, Denisa Barnes and Luther of Broken Bow, OK, and DeWayne Brewer and Amanda of Eagletown, OK; sister, Lisa and husband, Dr. Carl Davis of Coweta, OK; sisters-in-law, Lecia Mize of Broken Bow, Nora and Tim Davis of Wright City, Nancy and Kevin Colvin of Broken Bow; brother-in-law, Daniel and Michelle Mason of Broken Bow; grandchildren, Scotty and Emalie Barnes, Cody Barnes and Ashlyn, Brooklynn Nichols, Michelle Barnes and Scott, Payden Nichols, Shelby Brewer, Brayden Brewer, Khloe "Marmaduke" Barnes, Patience Jesse, Champaign Mills, Brett Kindsvater, and thirteen great-grandchildren who will carry his memory forward. Dale will be missed by his fur babies Snooper and Tidbit. He also leaves behind his special friends, Cotton Barrick, Mike Potter, and Kevin "Yankee" Colvin, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends. Numerous others that called him “Papa Dale”.
Funeral Services are set for 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Broken Bow, OK with Pastor James Lacey and Dr. Carl Davis officiating. Interment to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Friday evening at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow, OK.
