Obituary
Dan McDonald passed from this life August 3,2022 at his home in Tom, Ok, at age 66. He was born October 23,1955 to father, Ulysses “Buddy” McDonald, mother, Etta Mae (Davis) McDonald.
Dan was a high school graduate of Haworth High School and was affiliated with Haworth Assembly of God church. He enjoyed fishing and swimming and being in the outdoors. Dan loved riding the back roads and being in the woods. Dan was fun, wild, adventurous, loved reading books, studying the Bible scriptures. Inspired by his Father Buddy McDonald, Dan was a WWII history enthusiast as Buddy McDonald stormed the beaches of Normandy on D-day and drove a tank during WWII.
Professionally, Dan worked in the Forestry industry for over 25 years doing logging, driving a skidder and Wildfire firefighting early in his career in some wildfires in California. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Buddy and Etta Mae McDonald, and sister Wendy Day Holbrook of Cirencester, England.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, daughters, Dollie McDonald O’Neill and her children Lillie, Kelsie all of Cimarron, NM, Emily McDonald Harms of Denison, TX, son Daniel McDonald and his children, Gracie, Noah and Ayden McDonald all of Broken Bow, OK; brother Paul McDonald of St. George, UT; sisters, Melba Ezekiel of Wilburton, Ok, Rhonda Irving of Hugo, OK, Bernice Loveless of Hugo, OK, Peggy DiLallo of DuPage, IL; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Memorial Service will be Tuesday August 9,2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Bunch Singleton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Davidson officiating.
