David Dwayne Cleckler, age 35, of Broken Bow, passed from this life and was reunited with his wife on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on October 15, 1985, in Dallas, Texas to Johnney Cleckler and Teresa Gantt.
David enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He worked as a butcher and carpenter. David will be remembered for being very loving and caring. He loved to lend a helping hand. He loved the Lord, attended the First Baptist Church in Broken Bow, and ministered to people when he had the opportunity. His nieces and nephews held a special place in his heart, and he enjoyed playing with them. He will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazle (Thomas) Cleckler; grandparents, J.P. and Mary Cleckler, and Bonnie Gantt Hyslop; uncle, John “Bo” Gantt; and great grandmother, Floy Nelson.
David leaves to cherish his memory his father, Johnney Cleckler; mother, Teresa Gantt; brothers, Christopher Cleckler and wife Janet, and Eric Cleckler; nieces and nephews, Liyah, Christina, Henrey, Roman, Kaleie, and Miklo; aunts and uncles, Renisa Underwood, Daphner and Kenny Barnes, Paul and Chantea Cleckler, Diannia and Terry Laster, and Danny Gantt; cousins, Shantel Gilbert, Kody Underwood, Will Underwood, Kaitlyn Underwood, Lee, Amber, Jessie, Terah, and Nicole; fur baby, Busser; and special puppy, Nova.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at the Bunch Singleton Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Rock Hill Cemetery with Lee Mergel, Jessie Mergel, Chris Cleckler, Johnney Cleckler, Marcus Chandler, and Will Underwood serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Eric Cleckler and Danny Gantt.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, October 18, 2021, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Services are entrusted to Bunch Singleton Funeral Home in Broken Bow.
