David Wayne Harris entered his Heavenly Home July 21, 2021, at the age of 75.
He was born November 14, 1945, in Schults, OK to parents, Claude Fletcher and Lottie Jewell (Barnes) Harris.
David and Gwendolyn Loewen and were united in marriage on April 10, 1993, in Hillsboro, KS and shared 28 years together.
David was a devout member of Lukfata Baptist Church where he loved to sing in the choir. He enjoyed gardening and singing and playing the guitar. He loved his family and will be missed by everyone that knew him. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era. All of his brothers served in the Military as well.
David is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Claude Earl, Franklin, Robert, Hiram, William, Willie B. “Pete” and Larry Harris; sisters, Louise Fields, and Maxine Goodwin.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gwendolyn Harris of the home; son Timothy Wayne Harris, of Idabel; brothers, Stanley Wade Harris and wife, Susan of Columbus, NC; sisters, Lucile and Darrell Banzhaf of McCook, NE and Doris Bray and husband, Fred of Broken Bow, OK; a host a loving family and friends.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Lukfata Baptist Church Mission fund.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m., Monday, July 26, 2021, at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Lukfata Baptist Church with Bro. Chip Pinkerton officiating. Interment will follow at Watson Memorial Cemetery.
