Deanna Medders Obituary

Deanna Medders completed her earthly journey on Monday, March 11, 2024 at the age of 60. She was born August 28, 1963 the daughter of Willis Reed and Charlotte Kay (Blanche) Waugh.

Deanna married Dayne Medders on March 18, 1996 in DeQueen, AR and they shared twenty-eight years together.

Deanna was a member of Pickens First Assembly of God Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and “Nana”, she was a selfless person always finding the good in everyone no matter who you were or where you came from in life. Deanna loved her customers at “Gypsy Brew” and always had a smile for them. She was proud of her Shawnee and Choctaw Indian Heritage and the Blue Jacket name. She was a Texas Rangers fan, she thoroughly enjoyed spoiling her grandbabies, shopping, canning vegetables, cooking for her kids and their friends in earlier years sometimes as many as thirty. She loved everyone and will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her father, Bill Waugh; maternal grandparents, Herman and Marie Blanche; paternal grandparents, John and Midge Waugh; granddaughter, Nolan Jane Fredrick and grandson, Montana Andrew Knight.

Deanna leaves to cherish her memory, husband, Dayne Medders of the home; mother, Charlotte Waugh; children, Amanda Waugh of Broken Bow, OK, Blake Medders and Shelby of Ft. Worth, TX, Leigh Montgomery and husband, Johnny of Red Oak, OK, Laci Knight of Poteau, OK, Tamma Fredrick and husband, Jeremy of Poteau, OK and Will Medders of Poteau, OK; brother, Paul Waugh of Broken Bow, OK; seven grandchildren, Grace, Titus, Zayne, Cy, C.J., Mikelle and Hudson; special cousin, Sherry Decker and husband, Monte; special sons, Aaron Martinez and Blake Blankenship; special friend, Jamie Phillips; a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Friday, March 15, 2024 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home.

Funeral Services are set for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Pickens First Assembly of God Church, Pickens, OK with Rev. Gary Furr and Rev. Jeff Maddox officiating. Interment to follow at Battiest Cemetery, Battiest, OK.
