Deborah Lynn (Gibbs) James, 71, completed her earthly journey on November 13, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was one of two daughters born to Forrest E. and Wanda (Webster) Gibbs on October 30, 1952 in Talihina, OK.

Deborah and Danny James were united in marriage on September 13, 1975 in Dallas, TX and shared forty-eight years together.

Deborah was a licensed minister, mother, grandmother, and a devoted wife and she loved her grandbabies. She was a fisherwoman, pianist, and singer. She enjoyed doing beadwork, drawing, crafting, and taking care of her fur babies, Peanut and Tiny. She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Forrest E. and Wanda (Webster) Gibbs; grandparents, Rev. Forrest Taft and Minnie Gibbs.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Daniel James of the home; sister, Donna Kay James, children, Matthew Aaron James and wife, Colbie Nicole, Rachel Lynn Dooley and husband, Ben Franklin, Stephanie DeAnne Going and husband, Mario Isaac; grandchildren, Shaun James, Makayla Williams, Reuben Fisher, Chloe Fisher, Travis Morgan, Jr., Jada Fisher and Rhesa Fisher; fur babies, Peanut and Tiny; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow, OK.

Funeral Services are set for 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 17, 2023 at Victory Life Church, Broken Bow, OK with Bro. Melvin Gibson officiating. Interment to follow at Glover Cemetery, Glover, OK.
