Dee Gammon passed away surrounded by her family on July 7, 2026, in Broken Bow, OK, at the age of 88. She was born September 17, 1937, in Battiest, OK, to Dool and Zelpha Myers.
She lived a life marked by faith, devotion to family, and steady service to her community. On October 7, 1952, she married the love of her life, Hobert Gammon, in DeQueen, AR, and together they shared many years of marriage and companionship.
Dee was a Christian and a faithful member of Good News Fellowship in Broken Bow, OK. For 28 years, Dee served her community as a mail carrier. She took pride in her work and carried out her duties with dedication and reliability. Through her years of service, she became a familiar and trusted face to many.
Dee was preceded in death by her husband, Hobert Gammon; parents, Dool and Zelpha Myers; sisters, Dale Jones, Clauda McDaniel, Jackie Hagler, Jean Sullivan, and Lois Parsons.
She is survived by son, Danny Gammon, and his wife, Pam; grandson, Mikel and his wife, Kasie Gammon; great-grandchildren, Skye Gammon and Kruze Gammon; niece, Bobbie Hamrick; and special friends, Rick Harder, Barbara Wood, and Kay Pratt. She also leaves behind many other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory and the many ways she touched their lives.
Graveside Services are set for 10AM, Thursday, July 9, 2026, Hochatown Cemetery, Hochatown, OK with Dr. Doug Deramus officiating.
