Dennis "Mickey" Altom passed away on January 29, 2026, in Idabel, Oklahoma. Born on April 9, 1948, in Golden, Oklahoma, to Lloyd and Alice (Eason) Altom.

Mickey's life was a testament to the enduring spirit of hard work, dedication, and the joy of simple pleasures. He grew up surrounded by the love of his parents and siblings. A man of great resilience and work ethic, Mickey spent twenty-five years dedicated to tree planting for Weyerhaeuser and working for the Railroad until retirement. Despite his hard work, Mickey always made time for his passions. His love for music was evident; he could be found picking his guitar or listening to his favorite music.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Gerald and Kenneth Altom.

Mickey is survived by his siblings, David Altom, Carole Jewell, Shirley Wheeler, Margie Langley, and Sandra June Altom; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends t brought him joy.

Funeral Services are set for 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Paul Hartley officiating. Interment to follow at Watson Memorial Cemetery, Oak Hill Community.
