Don Franklin Carper was born on October 17, 1934, in Wright City, Oklahoma. He passed away on May 7, 2026, in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, leaving behind a life marked by hard work, devotion to his family.

He was a man who understood the value of hard work and took pride in the work he did throughout his life. He pulled lumber on the green chain in Oregon, worked for Keiser at the steel mill in California, and was later employed by Weyerhaeuser as a contractor in the Forestry industry until his retirement in 1996.

Don made his home in Broken Bow for 58 years, where he built a life centered around family, friendship, and simple joys. He enjoyed fishing and running trout lines, and he also liked picking up cans for exercise, and spending time working puzzle books, visiting with friends and family, and dancing, all of which brought him happiness and helped him stay connected to the people around him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Zelek Zabud and Opal Carper; Loved ones Margie Shultz, Irving Carper, Opal Anita Carper, Don F. Carper Jr., Valee Percy.

Don leaves to cherish his memory his wife of fifteen years, Reba Carper of the home; his children, Danny, Mike and Randy Carper, Lisa Percy, and Ben Rousseau; Matthew & Quentin Percy, Melissa Bridges and husband, Billy, and their two sons, Dustin Pace and Brian Bridges and a host of other grandchildren, family, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 4-6 P.M. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home
