Donnie Ray Eeds, 69, of Broken Bow passed away June 20, 2021, at his home. He was born March 2, 1952, to Dorotha and Leonard Eeds.

Donnie married the love of his life Rosie Bagley on June 17, 1972. Donnie attended Green Chapel Church in Herndon Community. Donnie worked for Weyerhaeuser Co. for 38 years, Tyson chicken plant for 10 years before retiring. Donnie was an active member of the Oklahoma National Guard for 18 years. He loved spending time with his family (his family was his life). He bought every grandchild a .22 rifle when they were born. He loved deer hunting with his sons, brother, and brothers-in-law, nephews and nieces. He loved having animals on the place, his rabbits, horses and goats. Donnie enjoyed going to rodeos with is grandkids, nieces and nephews, planting a garden, mowing the yard, going to Bunch’s for breakfast to visit with friends, some old friends and new friends. He loved his church family and pastors, Lyn and Sandy Gaskey. He tried to never miss prayer meeting on Monday mornings. He loved to get in his pickup and drive thru the woods. Some of the roads he liked to drive on were the ones he, his daddy and great uncle Marvin built. He loved frying fish with Donnie Eugene at family reunions. The family joke was “He could sleep anywhere”.

Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Dortha Eeds; grandparents, Kermit and Rosa Scarberry, William and Elsie Eeds; brother, Bobby Eeds; stepbrothers, Morris Callaway and Darrell Callaway; sisters, Darlene (Eeds) James and his hunting buddy, Lonnie James; mother and father-in-law, Cora and Luther Bagley; brothers-in-law, Charles Bagley and wife, Bonnie and Jimmy Lamb, his hunting buddies; uncles, Leon and Wayne Scarberry, Jimmy Eeds and Leford Eeds; aunts, Shirley Crawford and Wanda and Henry McDaniel; and niece, Raylee James.

He is survived by his wife, Rosie Eeds, of the home; stepmother, Nedra Callaway Eeds of Pickens, children, Melanie and Jessie Callaway, of Broken Bow, Donnie and Becky Eeds, of Broken Bow, Jason Eeds of Broken Bow and his significant other Ashley Coleman of DeQueen; stepbrothers, James and Marie Callaway of Broken Bow, Billy Callaway of Broken Bow and Bobby Callaway of Broken Bow, grandchildren, Tiffany and Dallas Bohanan, Mason Eeds, Kori Eeds and fiancé, Sean Light, Kendall Eeds, Eli and Phoenix Eeds, Carson Coleman, great-granchild, Payton Bohanan; uncles, Leonard and Sue Scarberry, Kenneth and Ann Scarberry and Granvil Crawford; aunts, Sharon and Mike Lott, Ilene Scarberry; brothers-in-law, Coy and Charolette Bagley, Mary Morris, Bonnie and Ray McKee; stepsisters-in-law, Shelia Calloway and Robbie Calloway; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Family will be receiving friends on Friday from 6 – 8 pm at Bunch Singleton Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Green Chapel Assembly of God with Pastor Lyn Gaskey and Pastor Gabe Elliott officiating. Interment will follow at Watson Memorial Cemetery in the Oak Hill Community.
