Dorothy Laverne Shelton

Dorothy Laverne Shelton, 83, of Broken Bow, went to be with the Lord, July 20, 2020.

Laverne was born on December 21, 1936, in Broken Bow, OK, to Arthur Russell and Leeotie (Kindle) Ross. She married the love of her life, Clifford Shelton, on October 20th, 1951, and had 3 children. She was an avid homemaker, who loved to cook and crochet.

Laverne is survived by her brother, Bee Ross, of Mena, AR; her beloved children, Bruce and Brenda Shelton, of Wicks, AR, Sharon Cockrell, of Holly Creek, OK, and Belinda and Marty Foshee, of Broken Bow, OK; she had 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; as well as, a host of nieces and nephews.

Laverne was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Leeotie Ross; brothers, Joseph Joe Ross, Lee Travis Ross, Robert Bruce Ross, and Arthur Enoch Ross; her dear husband, Clifford Jr. Shelton; son, Marvin Lee Shelton; and grandson, Michael Clifford Shelton.

A Burial Service will be held, 2:00 PM, Friday, July 24, 2020, at the Broken Bow Cemetery, in Broken Bow, OK.
