Douglas Andrew Walker completed his earthly journey Monday, January 1, 2024 at the age of 22. He was born July 6, 2001 in DeQueen, AR the son of Val Gene Threadgill and Dedura D. Walker.
Doug was a graduate of Smithville High School. He enjoyed FFA showing animals and traveling with Mr. McGee to the stock shows and eating Mexican food. He loved to fish, hunt, play cornhole and hanging out with his friends and family. Doug was a hard worker and enjoyed working for SE Feed and at The Maze. He loved his cousins and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Dedura Walker; grandfathers, Robert Holmes and Mere Walker; father, Val Gene Threadgill; grandparents, Monroe and Luvenia Threadgill.
Doug leaves to cherish his memory grandmother, Dixie Holmes of the home; sister, Valerie Threadgill of Haworth, OK; brother, Deondra Robinson of OKC, OK and Val Threadgill Jr. of New Boston, TX; aunts and uncles, Jody and Teresa Walker of Sallisaw, OK, Carl Walker of Pickens, Brandon and Kasey Engler of Pickens, Judy & Don Cogburn of Cartwright, OK, Bruce and Donna Holmes of Ringold, Olga Threadgill, Jerry Threadgill Sr. and Lisa of Tom, Woodrow and Georgia Threadgill of DeKalb, TX, Daisy and Tommie Stafford of Tom, Luvenia and Kenneth Flemings of Tom, Sarah Ann Flemings of Idabel, Mary Stafford of Eagletown, Wanda Jean and Charles Threadgill of Idabel; nephew, Jeremiah Monroe Jones; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral Services are set for Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Pickens Assembly of God Church in Pickens, OK with Pastor Jeff Mattox and Bro. Lester Scales officiating. Interment will follow at County Line Cemetery in Pickens, OK.
