Earl Westbrook Obituary

   Wendell “Earl” Westbook went to be with the Lord on April 17, 2023 at home surrounded by his family. He was born May 15, 1942 to William “Bill” and Louise Westbrook in Glover, OK. He married Mildred “Joyce” Bean on May 4, 1963. He lived most of his life in McCurtain County. He worked as a mechanic for Weyerhaeuser and Brown & Root for many years until retirement.


   Earl was a member of Lukfata Baptist Church, and he loved his church family dearly. He enjoyed spending time with his family and always looked forward to visits from his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed raising cattle, fishing and hunting. Especially his many hunting trips to Colorado.


   He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Louise Westbrook; brothers, T.J. Westbrook, Leon Westbrook; sisters, Alice Keeney and Sue Harcrow.


   Earl leaves behind his loving wife Joyce Westbrook of the home; sons Michael and wife, Dayna of Broken Bow; David and wife Michelle of Broken Bow; sister, Linda Strawn of Idabel, OK; grandchildren, Marli Gibson and husband Randon of Oklahoma City, OK; Amanda Collier and husband Brian of Amarillo, TX; Chelsey Derrick and husband Lance of Naples, TX; Carrie Sorrels and husband Blake of Grovetown, GA; Michaela Westbrook of Durant, OK; great-grandchildren, Landon Derrick, Logan Derrick, Madie Sorrels, Charlotte Sorrels, Olivia Sorrels, and Kendyn Gibson. He also leaves a host of family and friends.


Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Bunch - Singleton Funeral Home 


Funeral Services are set for 2 PM Friday, April 21, 2023 at Lukfata Baptist Chrch, Broken Bow, OK with Bro. Chip Pinkerton officiating. Interment to follow at Glover Cemetery, Glover, OK.
