Eddie Greene McKinney, 93, of Honobia, OK, joined the heavenly choir on July 14, 2020.
He was born on July 29. 1926 in Talihina, Oklahoma, the son of Greene and Ensie (Tonihka) McKinney. Eddie was a veteran of the US Army. He was a hard worker and retired from Thomason Lumber Co. Family was a priority for Eddie. He would spend hours watching his children and grandchildren in sporting events. Eddie was a member of the McGee Chapel in Broken Bow where he was emcee over the singings there. He loved to sing gospel music (especially the Choctaw hymns.) He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Greene and Ensie McKinney; first wife, Nora Colbert McKinney; second wife, Lucy Ludlow McKinney; daughters, Lorena McKinney, Carol McKinney Ishcomer; one grandson; Blaine McKinney and three sisters, Isnie Ortiz, Nancy Tushka Mabel McKinney.
He leaves to cherish his life, five children, Gary McKinney and wife, Teresa of Broken Bow, Jerry McKinney and wife, Myra of Smithville, OK, Larry McKinney and wife, Regina of Warm Springs, OR, Carrie Ward and husband, Andy of Broken Bow, Pam McKinney of Broken Bow; brother, Jackson McKinney of Broken Bow; twenty six grandchildren; fifty great-grandchildren; fifty-nine great, great-grandchildren; many other family and friends.
A private family service will be held. Interment will be in the McGee Chapel Cemetery.
