Edgel Michael Samuel, Jr. passed from this life July 15, 2020 in Livermore, CA at the age of 40. He was born December 7, 1979 in DeQueen, AR the son of Edgel and Jane (Jones) Samuel.

Edgel Jr. attended Broken Bow Schools, he was an honor student in every grade, becoming Valedictorian of his graduating class of 1998. He was in band under Harley Thomas and won many awards and honors. He attended college in Edmond, later moving to California until his passing.

Edgey aka Junior as he was called by his family and friend, loved his family unconditionally. He made and kept friends as he had many. He had no children he loved his nieces and nephews very much, even those he only knew through snapchat. He was very protective of his little brother, Willie “Duane”, doing everything for him from teaching him to ride a bicycle to getting him into college. They shared many memories and secrets. His first nephew, Kelly was always around, and they got into trouble around the house. He considered Holly a sister and Harold a brother, they were the terrible foursome.

His sisters adored him and spoiled him, he in turn loved them and kept in touch with them wherever he was. He always knew he was loved and could count on his family. He loved life and adventure, he worked hard to achieve his goals.

He loved music and snapchat. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and kept in touch with his Oklahoma friends.

He made sure his parents knew he was thinking of them by texts messages and phone calls on every occasion. He will be missed and still loved by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Lilliella Samuel Willis; maternal grandparents, Martha and Willie Jones; special cousin, Harold Dean Jones; niece and nephew, David Latrell and Kayla Baker.
