Edna Marie Cogburn passed from this life on Thursday, January 22, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 13, 1925 in Bethel, OK to parents, Burke and Ethel (Moore) Eaves. 

Edna was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.  Her work ethic and love for nurturing living things were evident in the care she put into her yard and garden, which were a source of great pride and beauty. She was a great cook, well known for her chocolate gravy and the best chicken and dumplings. Edna's kitchen was the heart of her home where family and friends were always welcome. The most important thing in her life was her family. She reveled in visits from her grandchildren and every moment spent surrounded by her loved ones.  

She is preceded in death by her parents, Burke and Ethel Eaves; her husband, W. M. Cogburn; daughter, Marilyn Moore; siblings, Ervin Eaves, Robert Eaves, Pauline Cogburn, Francis Stovall, Oneta Caudle and Nona Eaves; great-granddaughter, Brynlee Tackett. 

 Edna leaves to cherish her memory, her son Jerry and  Shirley Cogburn; her daughters, Rhonda and David Marable, Donna and Todd Belk; son-in-law, Larry and Geovanna Moore all of Bethel; sister, Lucille Stovall of Oklahoma City, OK, and brother-in-law Leeroy Caudle of Bethel; eleven grandchildren, Shannon Cogburn (Amy), Sharla Smith (Brian), Julie Haberly (Dwight), Michelle Chandler (Keith), Bryan Moore, Angela Johnson, Tabatha LeForce (Todd), Brittany Littles (Scotty), Garrett Axton (Courtney), Terrance Axton (Ashley), Jessica Denton (Bub); thirty great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy and light into her life. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and family will continue to thrive in the lives of those she leaves behind.

Services are set for 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at Bethel Missionary Church, Bethel, OK with Pastor Vincent Troxell officiating. Interment to follow at Bethel Cemetery, Bethel, OK.
