Edna “Marie” Harden, age 74, of Broken Bow, passed from this life, March 8, 2021, in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.
Marie was born December 1, 1946, to Forbes and Elizabeth (Billy) Willis, in Broken Bow, OK.
Despite attending Wheelock and Jones Academies as a young girl she was fluent in her native Choctaw language. She was a very hard worker but also vibrant and fun loving. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life. Retirement gave her the opportunity to spend even more time with her great grandchildren and she cherished this extra time with them.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Forbes and Elizabeth (Billy) Willis; son, Robert Dewayne Willis; three brothers, John, Herod, and Paul Willis; two sisters, Rosie Pelfrey and Naomi Willis; and special niece, Janice Willis.
She is survived by her daughter, Leona Simpson and husband, Bobby, of Dardanelle, AR; five sons, William Harden, Jessie Harden and wife, Debbie, and John Harden, both of Broken Bow, OK, Ronald Harden Moss, of Dallas, TX, and Frankie Stafford and wife, Teresa, of DeQueen, AR; brother, Michael Willis; sister, Jennifer Willis, of Broken Bow; daughter-in-law, Kelly Willis Adams of Broken Bow, OK; 24 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other family and friends.
A viewing for family and friends will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Friday, March 12, 2021, at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home, Broken Bow, OK.
Funeral Services for Edna will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 13, 2021, at the Kulli-Chito United Methodist Church, in Broken Bow, OK, with Bro. Rayson Gibson officiating, burial will follow at the Kulli-Chito Cemetery.
