Edward Ray Mixon Obituary

Edward Ray Mixon of Broken Bow passed away on February 13, 2026, at the age of 82. He was born on September 14, 1943, in Boswell, Oklahoma to parents, Tolbert and Willie Lucile (Gamblin) Mixon.

Edward was of the Christian faith. He had a passion for the outdoors, often found with a fishing rod in hand in his earlier years. He enjoyed woodworking and writing poetry. He loved to bake and share his goodies with others. Edward's professional life included doing dozer work, where his hard work and expertise were highly valued. Above all, Edward's joy came from the time spent with his family, especially his great-grandchildren. He had a special way of making each of them feel loved, often treating them to "Soda Waters" and sweets while sharing stories.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Tolbert and Willie Lucille Mixon, and his treasured granddaughter, Brianna Turk.

Edward is survived by his children, Clay Turk and Misty of Garvin, Sherrie Aguilar and Marcial of Broken Bow, Stanley Mixon of Oklahoma City, and Rachel Blankenship of Miami, Oklahoma. His sister, Joyce Henderson and Jack, of Loveland, Colorado; His grandchildren, Dylan Brooks, Reanna and Michael Chancelor, Lisa Ryan, Christy Smith, Misty Smith, Joshua Baker, Malcomb Aguilar and Krista, and Devin Mixon, along with fourteen great-grandchildren; his best friends, Wilburn Stanfield and Joe Goforth, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
