Elbert E.L. Mitchell 81, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma passed from this life and entered into His Eternal home on December 17,2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Elbert Mitchell was born October 10,1939 to Hicks and Armentia Mitchell.
Elbert was a Broken Bow High School graduate with the class of 1959. Elbert loved hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed going out with his metal detector and hunting arrow heads. Elbert was a hard worker who spent time as a carpenter, floor layer, and eventually retired as a Mechanic from McCurtain County highway department after twenty - five years of loyal service. Elbert was a long-time member of Lukfata Baptist Church.
Elbert and Pat Bray were united in marriage September 1,1967, they spent 53 loving years together.
Elbert is preceded in death by his parents, sister Linda Bell, granddaughter Lila Kaye Mitchell, in laws Bob and Margaret Bray, brother-in-law Charley Bray.
Elbert leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Pat of the home, his daughter Glenda Mitchell of Broken Bow, OK, daughter, Christie and husband Steve Bolt of Broken Bow, Ok, son, Jon Mitchell and wife Kayla of Broken Bow, OK; grandchildren, Channing Clay and wife Jodi of Broken Bow, OK, Chelsea Bolt of Broken Bow, OK, Courtney Bolt of Tulsa, OK, Kora Mitchell of Broken Bow, OK; great grandchildren, Evan (Outlaw) Axton, Kimber Joe Don Clay. And a host of loving family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Lukfata Baptist Church.
A viewing will be Sunday, December 20,2020 at Bunch Singleton Funeral Home from 1:00 - 6:00 PM
Graveside services will be Monday, December 21, 2020 at Crown Hill Cemetery Broken Bow, OK at 2:00 PM, with Bro. Chip Pinkerton officiating.
At the families request, Masks will be required for the viewing and the graveside services.
