Eldon Clifford Colson completed his earthly journey Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at the age of 85 in Glover, OK. He was born October 1, 1938 in Willow Grove, TN the son of James Richard and Vera (Hogan) Colson.

Eldon married Bonnie Colson on April 11, 1957 and shared sixty-four years together. Their marriage was blessed with five children.

Eldon was affiliated with the Assemblies of God and a devoted Christian man. He read his Bible faithfully and Louis Lamar books as well. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed being outdoors.  He was a skilled carpenter and enjoyed tinkering around the house and his shop. He was a family man and loved his kids, and the grandkids were his pride and joy.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Richard and Vera Colson; wife, Bonnie Colson; several brothers and sisters; sons-in-law, Troy Holland and Joe Bob Gray.

Eldon leaves to cherish his memory his children, Sandra Gray of Glover, Kenneth Colson and wife, Ranelda of Holly Creek, Jerry Colson and wife, Debbie of Glover, Charlotte Colson of Glover, Carla Huddleston and husband, Hud of Durant; brother, Clark Colson of Portales, N.M.; grandchildren, B.J. Boulton, Jeremy Boulton, Kendell Colson and Stacey, Dustin Colson and wife, Courtney, Ashley Peters and husband, Mike, Derek Colson and wife, Tamara, Jacob Holland, Shaina Robison and husband, Ben; great-grandchildren, Savanna, Kelley, Mason, Emily, Jessie, Ramie, Hollyn, Shoale, Karter, Renlee, Riggin, Ranger, Kanon, Kyle, Kennedi, Brianna, Braiden and Brielle; special friends, Gary and Jane Huffman and Larry and Linda Morris; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home.

Funeral Services are set for 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 5, 2024 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow, OK with Bro. Bruce McKeever and Bro. Jimmy Westbrook officiating.
