Ella Nora Going

Ella Nora Going of Broken Bow, Oklahoma passed from this life peacefully at the age of 85 on the morning of April 25, 2024 surrounded by family in Oklahoma City.

Ella Nora Going was born on May 4, 1938 in Broken Bow, OK to parents Wilson and Nora (McGee) Lewis.  Ella spent 50 years of her life working in food service including many years at Charles Wesley and Bunch’s where she was known for her infectious smile, and strong work ethic. When she was not working, Ella spent her life caring for her family and anybody else that she was able to serve.  Her many nieces, nephews, and cousins have fond stories of her kindness, sense of humor, and her amazing food, especially her infamous apple pie.  Outside of God and her family, her greatest joy was a piping hot cup of coffee.  She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, embroidery, and completing puzzles with her family. She loved the Lord and spent the last weeks of her life ensuring that all of her family had a chance to come to know Him as their Savior as well.  

Ella was preceded in death by her parents Wilson and Nora (McGee) Lewis; Sisters Vera, Sarah, Marie, Rosie, and Isabel; Brothers Milton David and Emerson.  

Ella is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Viewing will be held from 12:00 till 5:00 Sunday afternoon at the Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Victory Life Church in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.  Her place of interment will be Oka Achukma (Good Water) Cemetery in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
