Elliston JR Ashalintubbi

Elliston “JR” Ashalintubbi, Jr., age 78, of Eagletown, passed from this life, December 28, 2020, in Springfield, Missouri.

JR was born, September 23, 1942, to Elliston Ashalintubbi, Sr., and Rosie Jones Ashalintubbi, in Eagletown, OK.

He married Karen Roan, December 24, 1966 and they enjoyed 49 years together before her passing in 2015.

JR enjoyed hunting and fishing, coaching peewee football in his younger years, relaxing on the couch and going to the casino. His grandkids were his pride and joy. He loved spending time in New Mexico, his orange Camaro, blue-tick hound, Jody and horse, Rocky. JR was very witty and always had something to say; he never met a stranger.

JR was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Roan Ashalintubbi; his parents, Elliston Sr. and Rosie Ashalintubbi; brother, Tommy Ashalintubbi; sister, Ester Crow; brothers-in-law, Charles Miller and Perry Pearce.

He is survived by his children, Tommy Ashalintubbi, of Eagletown, Angela Hill and husband, Chad, of Wright City; brother, Mack Ashalintubbi, of Eagletown; sisters, Rosella Dye and husband, Kenneth, of Hinton, OK, Maxine Miller, of Foreman, AR, and Eleanor Pearce, of DeQueen, AR; grandchildren, Triston Ashalintubbi, Reyann Vanamburg, Kaitlyn and Hayden Ashalintubbi, Shelby, Hunter, and Kelsie Wright, Hunter and Hayden Hill, and Leslie Hill; great-grandchildren, Ka’dee Ashley, Barrett and Slade Bennett, Tinley and Tate Skelton, Jarden Vanamburg and Weston Blackwell; special friends, Wilton Jones family; as well as, numerous other family and friends.

A viewing for family and friends will be held on December 31, 2020, from 4:00 – 6:00 PM, at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 2, 2020, at the Mountain Fork Presbyterian Church, in Eagletown, OK, with Bro. Cy Davis and Lyndon Crow officiating, burial will follow at the Panki Bok Cemetery.
