Elvin Covington

Elvin Covington passed from this life Sunday, May 22, 2022 in Broken Bow, OK at the age of 79. He was born October 26, 1942 in Hugo, OK to parents, Floyd and Jewell (Dover) Covington.

Elvin was a member of the Faith Christian Center. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, gardening and watching old western movies. He enjoyed attending Church, spending time with his family and playing with his dogs. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Jewell Covington; brother, Barney Covington; sister, Juanita Ables; grandson, Justin Brown; special friend, Johnny Hill and his beloved dog, “Jake”.

Elvin leaves to cherish his memory children, Tammy Decker of Broken Bow, Misty Dugin and Michael of Rufe, OK, Wanda Eaton of Paris, TX and Dale Covington of Broken Bow; brothers, Leo Covington, Jerry Covington, Charles Covington and wife, Mary all of Hugo; special nephew, James and Candy Covington; sisters, Mary Eskridge and Jerry of OKC, OK, Lucille Ables and Earnest of Talihina,  Ruth Jones of Hugo and Virginia Testerman of OKC, OK; special friends, Althea Ransey, Randy and Kelly Collins, Beth Walker, Kim Dye, Natalie and Sam Pierce and Mollie Lewis; Broken Bow Health and Rehab Staff and Elara Hopice; a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday evening at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Services are set for 10:00 a.m., Thursday morning at Faith Christian Center with Bro. Chuck Darby officiating. Interment to follow at Broken Bow Cemetery.
