Emma Mae Jones departed this life on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at St. John Hospital, Broken Arrow, at the age of 85.

Emma was born April 14, 1938, in Broken Bow to Roy Wilbert "R.W." Hill and Violet "Evaleen" (Lyons) Hill. Emma spent the majority of her youth in the Broken Bow area and in Arizona. She was blessed with four children: Jerry, David, Carolyn and Loretta Mae "Jessee".

Emma worked many years in the restaurant industry. She was the owner of Backdoor Grill in Tulsa, worked as a waitress, and also Triangle T Guest Ranch in Arizona. It was while managing the L.B. Bar and Grill in Tucson that Emma met her husband, William A. "Bill" Jones. Emma and Bill loved to travel the world together in their RV and took several Carribean cruises. Some of the places they visited were Alaska, Nova Scotia, Australia, Mexico, New Zealand, and Spain. They also worked together helping modeling agencies on location sites and running film; and sold southwestern jewelry at wholesale shows throughout the United States. Emma and Bill enjoyed 30 years of marriage.

Emma looked forward to any shopping trip, enjoyed playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and organized every family reunion with her sister, Sharon. She was a perfectionist in everything she did, and was very outgoing.

Emma is preceded in death by her daughter, Loretta Mae "Jessee" Pope in 2020; her parents; and siblings: Roy Hill, Arnold Hill, Travis Hill, and Liz Clevinger.

She is survived by her loving husband, Bill Jones of the home; children: Jerry Pope and wife, Rhonda of Sand Springs, David Pope and wife, Debbie of Tulsa, and Carolyn Whitaker and husband, Darrell of Sapulpa; step-children: Gail L. Young of Tucson, AZ, and Jeffrey Scott Miller and wife, Cheryl of Colchester, VT; siblings: Buford Hill and wife, Sissy of Broken Bow, Leon Hill and wife, Jan of Ft.
