Emmit Rowan, Sr of Valliant, OK departed this life on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at the age of 84. He was born August 5, 1939, to John and Geneva (Taylor) Rowan.
Emmit retired as a machine operator at Weyerhaeuser. He enjoyed fishing, working in the shop, enjoyed being out in his yard, loved his grandbabies and great grandbabies.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Geneva Rowan; first wife, Betty Jean (Slaughter) Rowan; second wife, Oleta (Fennell) Rowan; stepdaughters, Barbara Asbil and Patricia Koch, six brothers; one sister; grandsons, Dylan Rowan, Kenny Smith, Bradley Lappin and Bobby Asbil.
Emmit leaves to cherish his memory, children, Emmit, Jr Rowan and wife, Karen; Roy Rowan and wife, Dawn; Travis Rowan and wife, Melissa; Linda Morgan; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6-7 P.M., Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel.
Graveside Services are set for 2 P.M., Monday, April 1, 2024, at Valliant Cemetery, Valliant, OK with Tag Rowan officiating.
