Esther Bell (Tushka) Davis, age 76, of Dallas, TX was born September 2, 1949 in Broken Bow, OK. She is the daughter of the late Austin Levi Tushka and the late Velma Lee (Ontaiyabbi) Roberts. Esther passed from this life on October 23, 2025 in Dallas, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, William Roberts; four brothers, Jimmy Tushka, Walton Tushka, Austin Wayne Tushka, and Wallace Tushka; two sisters, Norma Jean Tushka and Ada Wilson; uncle, Larry Jones; son in law, Randy Hickman; one grandson Brandon “Bubba” Hickman; and one great grandson Jacob Tehauno.
Esther is survived by three sons, Roger Tehauno of Dallas, TX, Rodney Tehauno and wife Camille of Broken Bow, OK, Sam Tehauno of Dallas, TX; one daughter, Diana Hickman of Choctaw, MS; two brothers, Ernest Tushka and wife Artina of Idabel, OK and Gary Tushka and wife Adrienne of Midwest City, OK; two sisters, Glenda Skeet of Glenn Heights, TX and Verna John and husband Tommy of Arlington, TX; ten grandchildren, Heather and Felix Salinas of Idabel, OK, Josh Tehauno of Tulsa, OK, Christina Taylor of Dallas, TX, Amber and Brad Willis of Broken Bow, OK, Briana Tehauno of Broken Bow, OK, Alison and Manuel Moreno of Dallas, TX, Stephanie and Johnny Aguilar of Ardmore, OK, Shawna Hickman of Choctaw, MS, John and Kanna Hickman of Layton, Utah. Roger Jr Tehauno of Dallas, TX; twenty-three great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and extended family members Tonja Billy and Chloe Gonzales.
Esther was passionate about many things, including her love for the Dallas Cowboys, sewing, bowling, softball, and solving crossword puzzles. A woman of deep faith, Esther was a member of the All-Tribes Ministries Church in Glenn Heights, TX. She dedicated 20 years of her career to working at Central Engineering and Supply Company before retiring. Music by Al Green held a special place in her heart, often bringing joy to her days. Above all, she was incredibly proud of her grandchildren and their accomplishments, whether in sports, school, or any endeavor they pursued.
Esther’s faith, humor and warmth touched everyone she met, leaving a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed by those who loved her.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at Dallas Indian United Methodist Church, 1203 Hollywood Avenue, Dallas, TX.
Funeral Services are set for 11:00 A.M., Friday, October 31, 2025 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow, OK
Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel prior to the service.
