Feldon “Gene” Bruner, 61, of Broken Bow, OK passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024. He was born on Saturday, August 10, 1963, to Feldon Elmer Bruner, Jr. and Charlene L (Lackey) Bruner.

Gene was a member of Wings of Deliverance Tabernacle in Dallas, Texas. He was a graduate of Broken Bow High School and played for the 1980 Savage football team. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, camping and spending time with family and friends at camp. He moved back from Dallas in 2014 and worked at Bailey Lumber and Ace Hardware. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Gene is preceded in death by his father, Feldon Elmer Bruner Jr.; bonus father, Otis Higgins and special friend, Felicia Chaney.

Gene is survived by his mother, Charlene Higgins of Broken Bow; children, Amanda Waugh of Broken Bow, OK,  Darton James Bruner of Conroe, TX and Cheryl Platt of Bullard, TX; sister, Regina M Kennedy of Concordia, KS; grandchildren, Autum Loven, Jaxon Doyle Bruner, Jerry Dale Platt, Landon Wallace and Alyssa Grunden; best friend/brother-in-law, Russell Horn;  his little Dog “poo”; a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 from 6-8 P.M. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Services are set for 2:00 P.M., Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow, OK with Jimmy Westbrook officiating. Interment to follow at Broken Bow Cemetery, Broken Bow, OK.
