G. W. Morris

            G. W. Morris, 89, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma passed away Monday, April 23, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family. G. W. was born on September 11, 1928, to the late Jim Morris and Cora Chambers Morris in Battiest, Oklahoma. G. W. enjoyed taking care of his cows, working in his garden and keeping a pretty yard. G. W. was a long time member of Pickens Assembly of God Church and the Battiest Assembly of God Church, as well as other churches, and was well respected by all that knew him.

            He is preceded in death by his parents; Jim and Cora Morris, daughters; Nelta Smalling, and Vickie Morris, brothers; Dillard Morris, and Rayford Morris, and sister; Jessie Smalling.

            He leaves to cherish his memory, wife; Lavelle Morris of the home, grandchildren; Dewayne Morris and wife, Whitney, their children, Cody, Cutter and Lizzie Morris all of Battiest, Oklahoma, Christy Meeks and husband Buck, their children, Jenny and Ty Meeks all of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Kevin Smalling and wife, Lory, their children, Kasen and Cooper Smalling all of Pickens, Oklahoma, Ashley Smalling of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Becky Burns and husband, Garett of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, son, Larry Morris and daughter-in-law, Linda of Battiest, and special son-in-law, Don Smalling and wife, Rachel of Pickens, Oklahoma, sister; Vebal Carr of Battiest, Oklahoma, and a host of nieces and nephews.

            A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Bunch Singleton Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.

            A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Battiest Assembly of God in Battiest, Oklahoma with Bro. Bob Weeks and Bro. Roger Myers officiating.

            Interment will follow at County Line Cemetery in Pickens, Oklahoma.
