Garrett "G.P" Pickett Obituary

Garrett "G.P." Pickett passed away on August 4, 2025, in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Born on January 24, 1985, in Ft. Benning, Georgia the son of James and Kathy Pickett.


He served his country with honor in the United States Army, an experience that instilled in him a deep sense of duty and reinforced his natural propensity for teamwork. His days were spent as a server at the Hochatown Saloon, where his warm smile greeted many people. Garrett's love of travel took him to many places, both near and far.  He was a man who lived life to the fullest, embracing every experience with enthusiasm and a free spirit that was contagious to all who knew him. Garrett loved animals and enjoyed watching movies.


He is preceded in death by his parental grandparents, Ruby and William Pickett, brother-in-law, Rickey Simpson, Sr., along with several aunts and uncles. Garrett's legacy of love continues through his numerous nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.


Garrett leaves to cherish his memory parents, James and Kathy Pickett of San Antonio, Texas; siblings, Heather Simpson of Broken Bow, OK; Brittany Pickett and Glen Davidson, Jarrod Pickett, and Brett Pickett, all of San Antonio, TX.
