Gaylon Eugene Foster, passed away on April 22, 2026, at the age of 76. He was born on February 17, 1950, in San Bernardino, CA to parents, Carlos Eugene Foster and Lorene (Davis) Foster.
Gaylon was a member and usher at Lukfata Baptist Church. He valued faith, fellowship, and the comfort of shared worship, and those who knew him through church will remember his steady kindness and welcoming nature.
His family was the center of his world, and he took great pride in each of them. He loved his children and grandson above all, and his love for them was evident in the time, attention, and care he gave so freely.
He loved children as though they were his own, and that affection was one of the many qualities that made him so special. He enjoyed riding around while listening to music with his grandson, Drake. Those moments brought him great joy, and they reflected the close bond they shared. He also enjoyed flying and treasured vacations and trips with his family. Whether near or far, he found happiness in being surrounded by the people he loved most.
Gaylon was known by many for his longtime association with Weyerhaeuser, where friends knew him by his nickname, “Screen Door.” He found satisfaction in working and tinkering with small engines, and he enjoyed the simple pleasures of life that came with doing things for himself and for others.
Gaylon was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Lorene Foster, and by his paternal grandfather, Robert Gaylon “Buck” Foster.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine, of the home; his son and daughter-in-law, Dwayne Foster and Melania; his daughter, Rhonda Foster-Swabb; his grandson, Drake Foster; his brother, Richard Foster, all of Broken Bow; his sister, Carol McKee, and husband, Tommy, of McAlester; his niece, LeAnn Roberts; his good friends, David Lundry and Mike Helms; and a host of other relatives and a multitude of friends.
Visitation will be held from 3-5 PM, Sunday afternoon at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Services are set for 10:00 AM, Monday, April 27, 2026 at Lukfata Baptist Church with Bro. Chip Pinkerton and Bro. Gary Hawkins officiating. Interment to follow at Holly Creek Cemetery, Holly Creek, OK.
