Gerald L. Glover, age 81, passed away from this life on February 16, 2023 in Broken Bow, OK. He was born the son of William Virgil Glover SR. and Cora Edna Glover (Gentry) on February 12, 1942 in Star City, AR.
Gerald served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. He greatly enjoyed working as a McCurtain County Paramedic for over twelve years. Gerald and Judy were instrumental in starting the Pickens Fire Dept where Gerald was a volunteer Fireman, he also taught CPR and trained other paramedics. Gerald loved to go hunting and fishing and even started a Raccoon hunting club in the 80’s to help kids stay busy. He was also a member of the Clebit Baptist Church. Gerald and Judy were united in marriage on November 16, 1984 in Pickens, OK and shared many wonderful years together.
Gerald is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Billy Glover, Virgil Glover SR., and Glen Glover; sisters, Cora Boyett, Betty Woodward, and Corrine Glover; mother and father-in-law, Jewell Hannah (Pickens) and John Hannah.
He is survived by his wife of the home, Judy Glover; children, Lisa McGehee and Ronnie of Star City, AR, Cindy Glover of Star City, AR, Sherri McCullom of Hohenwald, TN, Suzie and Jerry Claborn of Pickens, OK, Gary and Lisa Hardaway of Cloudy, OK, Justin and Alana Hardaway of Orangeville, UT, Lana and Greg Collins of Carthage, MS, Johnny Hardaway of Pickens, OK; sister, Lenora Whitehead of Star City, AR; 20 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held Monday, February 20, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Clebit Baptist Church. Bro. Mike Mings and Bro. Jimmy Box will officiate. Interment will follow at County Line Cemetery in Pickens, OK.
Family will receive friends Sunday, February 19, 2023 from 6-8 PM in the Bunch-Singleton Chapel.
