Gerald Wayne McCain entered his Heavenly Home on Monday, April 4, 2022 surrounded by his family. He was born Saturday, March 25, 1939 in Broken Bow, OK to parents, Gus O. and Evelyn A. (Nunn) McCain.
Gerald and Phyllis were united in marriage on March 25, 1961 in Yuma, AZ and shared sixty one years together.
Gerald loved family gatherings and spending time at the Coffee Shop with his friends. His hobbies included fishing and hunting. He loved the OU Sooners and watching a good football game. He loved being outdoors riding his tractor and gardening as well. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gus and Evelyn McCain; his son, Scotty Wayne McCain; grandchild, Joshua Aaron McCain; brother, Kenneth McCain; cousin, Herschel McCain and special friend, Bill Williams.
Gerald leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Phyllis of the home; children, Paula Leamons of Hot Springs, AR, Becky Childs and husband, Charlie, Roxann Flowers and Mark Engels, Christy Morris and husband, Billy all of Broken Bow, OK; brother, Gus O. McCain and wife, Nancy of Tulsa; eleven grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends; special friends, Don Smith and Tony Byrd.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4-6 P.M., Thursday evening at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, April 8, 2022 at United Pentecostal Church, 101 N. McClure St. Broken Bow, OK with Rev. Ben Pollock and Rev. Johnny Cheek officiating. Interment to follow at Broken Bow Cemetery, Broken Bow, OK.
