Gladys Lorene Bunch

Gladys Lorene (Rutledge) Bunch passed from this life on Sunday, August 30, 2021 at her home in Broken Bow surrounded by her family. Gladys was born on April 8, 1921 in Sardis, OK the daughter of George and Alice (Tennie) Rutledge.

Gladys met and married Howard Bunch on April 19, 1937 and moved to Broken Bow in 1949. Their marriage was blessed with four children, Shirley, Jerry, Dian and Vian. Gladys and Howard owned and operated many businesses through the years, one being Bunch’s Grocery that was established in 1949.

Gladys loved and enjoyed her family and taking care of them. She loved working in her yard, gardening, canning, going to yard sales, and having her own yard sales. Gladys believed in working hard every day. She taught all her children and grandchildren the rewards from working.

Gladys is preceded in death by her parents, George and Alice (Tennie) Rutledge; husband, Howard Bunch; daughter and son-in-law, Shirley Bunch Rudisill and Tommy Dale Rudisill; brothers, Cleamon, Ruel, George Jr. and Elzie Lee Rutledge; sisters, Vera Camp, Ida Belle Wade and Minnie Mae Fitzgerald.

Gladys leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Jerry Bunch and wife, Dala of Holly Creek, Dian Watson and husband, Clyde of Idabel, Vian Singleton and husband, David of Broken Bow; grandchildren, LaDonna Camp and husband, Todd of Broken Bow and children, Shelby Coulter and Danny Gardner, Caleb Camp and Jaden Black, Tommy Rudisill and wife, Diana of Broken Bow and children, Chara Cherry of DeKalb, TX, Ashlyn Morris and husband Brent of Grannis, AR and Dylan Rudisill of Broken Bow, Randall Rudisill and wife, Sandra of Broken Bow and children, Brandi Dees of Broken Bow and Aaron Rudisill and wife, Desiree of Tulsa, OK, Jerry Dean Bunch, Jr. of Dallas, TX Jason Bean and Jasmine of Idabel and his children, Gage Bean of Powderly, TX, Josey and Paityn Bean of Idabel, Sandra Dawn Raulston and husband, Matt of Clarksville, TX and children, Jace Gates of Broken Bow,  Jett and Paycas Raulston of Clarksville, TX; great-great-grandchildren, Claire, Piper, Lincoln, Brently, Asher, Brylee, River, Addison, Blakely, Callen, Preslee, Alyson, Shayne, Nason and Kadynn; a special niece, Wyva Reid from Nashville, AR; special care-giver for many years, Sherry Williams; bonus grandchildren, J.P. Longacre and wife, Liz of Valliant, Dorothy Harkey and husband, Randall of Broken Bow, Robert Vaughn and wife, Liz of Eagletown, Colton Coulter of Broken Bow, Amy Moore of Idabel and Jami Conley of Idabel.
