Glen Dale Ray of Idabel, Oklahoma went to be with his Lord on Tuesday August 9, 2022, after a long battle with a terminal illness. Glen most enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, where he often shared his jokes and life experiences to make them laugh and brighten their day. Even though Glen wasn’t always a man of many words, he cared deeply about his friends and family and oh how he loved his grandbabies. Glen was also a huge OU Football and Dallas Cowboy fan. He loved to watch and cheer for them, which was normally the highlight of his fall and winter weekends.
Glen was proceeded in death by his parents William and Helen Ray; his paternal grandparents who raised him William and Mae Ray; his maternal grandparents Willie Mae and Pierce Fields; and by his loving wife Diann Ray.
Glen is survived by his daughter Robbie Barnes of Eagletown, Oklahoma; stepdaughters, LaDonna Stanton of St Pauls, North Carolina, LaDena Deason and husband, Nathan of Hernando, Florida; and stepson, Royce Edington and wife, Trisha of Fairfax, Virginia. He has two sisters, Edna Tapley of Redland, Oklahoma and Rita Jimenez of Santa Rosa, California: numerous nieces and nephews; nine loving grandchildren: Savanna Blankenship of Eagletown, Oklahoma; Cheyenne Blankenship of Glover, Oklahoma; Joe Tanner Kirby of Eagletown, Oklahoma; Carson and Kylie Edington of Fairfax, Virginia; Courtney Parker of Hope Mills, North Carolina; Haley Carlton of Lumber Bridge, North Carolina; Peyton Stanton of St Pauls, North Carolina; and Samantha Perkins of Laurenburg, North Carolina; seven great grandchildren: CiAnna, Tanner, Brannon, and Ann-Marie of Eagletown, Oklahoma; Nova Grey and Apollo Lee of Hope Mills, North Carolina; and Stella Diann of Lumber Bridge, North Carolina.
Glen is also survived by his friend and caretaker, Willie Womack of Idabel, Oklahoma, and his lifelong friend, David Edington of St Pauls, North Carolina.
His memory will never be forgotten.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2022, from 2:00 to 4:00PM at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held Monday, August 15, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel with Interment to follow at Wheelock Cemetery.
