Helen Clouse Obituary

Helen Tempie Clouse, passed away on November 5, 2024 at the age of 97. Born on January 2, 1927, in Broken Bow, she lived a full life marked by devotion to her family and community.


Helen was a member of the First Baptist Church in Broken Bow. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, known for her exceptional skills in sewing, baking, and cooking—always ensuring her family was well cared for and that gatherings were memorable. She loved going out to eat with her friends, shopping, collecting glassware, antiquing, puzzles, dominoes, fishing, gardening and taking care of her flowers. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.


She is preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Maude Brinkley; husband, Carl Clouse; brothers, Lewis and Troy Hess, Mitchell, Ownes, Douglas, John and Bob Brinkley; son-in-law, Joe Clark; grandson, Tommy Clark.


She leaves behind a loving family, her son, Jesse Clouse and wife, Idanell of Golden, OK; daughters, Nona Cross and husband, Joe of Flower Mound, TX, and Cathy Clark of Tulsa, OK. Helen was a proud grandmother to Rachel and Ernie Harcrow, Michael and Hillery Cross, Chad and Kristen Clouse, Scott and Megan Cross, Joshua and Jennifer Baker; great-grandchildren, Kala, Heather, Hannah, Brayden, Abby, Alyssa, Gracie, Seth, Ethan, David, Mikayla, Olivia, Levi, Sawyer, Hannah, Conner, Caitlynn, Christian, Caden, Dane, Jackson and Kennedy; great-great-grandchildren, Taylie and Waylon; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.


Visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M., Friday evening at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home.


Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow, OK. Interment to follow at Redland Cemetery, Redland, OK.
