Helen Ruth Samuels

Helen Ruth Samuels, 72, of Smithville, passed from this life, May 23, 2020. Helen was born to David and Caroline (Johnson) Bond, on April 16, 1948, in Bethel, OK.

Helen was a member of the Rock Creek Church, in Honobia, OK. She enjoyed singing and family gatherings. Helen loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Caroline Bond; stepson, Curtis Samuels; stepson-in-law, Wayne Metcalf; two brothers, Adam and Earnest Bond; three sisters, Ruby Taylor, Rose Rasha, and Lucy McKenny.

Helen is survived by, her husband, Nelson Samuels, of the home; three sons, Alex Vela, Jr., Patrick Vela and wife, Frances, and Valentino Vela, all of Temple, TX; four step daughters, Katie Noahubi, of Bethal, OK, and Jamie Samuels and fiancé, Brandon Tollison, of Broken Bow, Peggy Samuels, and Cindy Samuels; sister, Daisy Watson; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; eleven step grandchildren; fourteen step great-grandchildren; as well as, many other family and friends.

Graveside Services will be held on, Monday, June 1, 2020, at 2:00 PM, at the Rock Creek Tabernacle, in Honobia, OK with Pastor Nathan Scott and Linda Scott officiating.
