Howard Pinckard Obituary

Howard Kimball Pinckard passed away May 11, 2024 in Paris, TX at the age of 65. He was born April 2, 1959 in Idabel, OK to parents, Howard and Lenora (Berry) Pinckard.

Kimball thrived in the wide-open spaces, dividing his life between the rolling plains of Oklahoma and the majestic mountains of Montana. He served honorably in the Army, discharged in 1977. Following his military service, he embarked on a career in the Oklahoma oil fields, working as a derrick hand. A tragic fall from nearly 100 feet forced him to cut his career short.

Kimball's love for airplanes, instilled in him by his father at a young age, never faded. He held a valid pilot's license and remembers flights with his father over the crop-dusted fields of Oklahoma and Montana.

An avid gardener, Kimball cultivated a love for the earth that he readily shared with his children and grandchildren. Together, they'd spend countless hours planting seeds, nurturing their crops, and celebrating each season's bounty.

Kimball was also passionate about fishing, particularly enjoying the waters of the Missouri River and Broken Bow Lake. He had a knack for finding the best fishing holes and of course a story about each and every haul! A tinkerer at heart, there wasn’t anything he couldn’t jerry-rig and get up and running, once again.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard G. Pinckard and Lenora Ann (Berry) Pinckard; brother, Russell Dean Pinckard; sisters, Michelle White and Kelley Denise Pinckard.

Kimball leaves to cherish his memory his children, Russell Pinckard, Ryan Pinckard, Brianna Pinckard and Elyse Cravins; grandchildren, Azradelia Jade and Veyla Fable of Oregon, Mikayia Marie Wood, Noah Rylee Rudolph, Olivia Rae Rudolph and Ivy Harper Chapman of Livingston, MT, Cortlyn Augustus Cravins, Kaitlyn Mackensie Cravins and Kyler Wayne Cravins of Livingston MT; nephews, Cody DeMint and Russell Aaron.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is set for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow, OK.
