Idell Galovich Obituary

Idell Galovich, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026, at the age of 104, in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Born on February 26, 1921, in Horatio, Arkansas.

In her youth, she experienced the rustic charm of traveling in a covered wagon and the hard work of picking cotton. As she grew older, Idell's love for storytelling became a cherished gift to those around her. She spent several years as a caregiver, a role that she embraced wholeheartedly. One of Idell's greatest pleasures was her love for antiques, yard sales, and thrift stores. She knew the worth of a dollar and the importance of saving.

She was preceded in death by her children, Evelyn Swanson and Shirley Strada, her parents and her siblings, Cleve, Aubrey, Frank, Carter, Paul, Homer, Sammy Dickerson, Dovie Painter, and Ethel Vance.

Her memory will be forever cherished by her grandchildren, David Evans, Jr., Kevin Evans, Angela Stephens, Jason Swanson, and Jennifer Bernard.  Her great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Brandon, and Cody Haldorson; Aiden, Taitum and Finley Bernard and one great-great-grandchild. Alongside her family, a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services are set for 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 24, 2026 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow, OK.
