Ivan Toon passed from this life on August 31, 2025, at the age of 75 in Watson, Oklahoma. He was born on August 15, 1950, in Smithville, Oklahoma, to Herschel P Toon and Lillie (Keiss) Toon.

Ivan was preceded in death by his beloved parents, his brother Charles Ray Toon, and his sister Genice (Toon) Allen.

Ivan is survived by his devoted wife of forty-two years, Ann (Hopson) (Bacorn) Toon;  his  children: Brian Toon of Smithville, OK; Dale and Jennifer Bacorn of Brookston, TX; Joseph Toon of Watson, OK; LuAnna and Joey Romero of Durant, OK; Tina and Kevin Clowers of Porterville, CA; Rebecca and Eric Penny of DeKalb, TX; Robert and Laura Toon of Idabel, OK,  Raymond Clay Toon and James Plata of Broken Bow, OK; brothers, Arla and Dianna Toon of Watson, OK and  Leon Toon of Olathe, KS;  twenty-three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; his life was enriched by the “bonus kids” he loved and raised as his own; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ivan proudly served his country as a medic in the US Army, demonstrating his commitment to service and care for others. His professional life included many years in the logging industry, where he worked as a skidder driver and log truck driver. He later took to the roads as a long-distance truck driver, a job that allowed him to explore the country he had served.

An avid outdoorsman, Ivan found solace and excitement in nature. He loved fishing, hunting, and camping, often sharing these passions with his family and friends. Coffee was his beverage of choice, a simple pleasure that complemented his love for early mornings in the great outdoors. Ivan's happiest moments were those spent with his children and grandchildren, where he imparted wisdom, shared laughter, and created unforgettable memories.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5-8 PM, Tuesday evening at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow, OK.
