Jack Brock, 92, of Broken Bow passed away on 15th of October,2023. He was born on the 13th of December 1930 to Van and Fern (Colbaugh) Brock at Clebit, Ok.
Jack attended Oklahoma A&M (now OSU) for his Baccalaureate degree and Texas A&M (Commerce) for his master’s degree.
He married Doris (Hill) Brock on May 31, 1950, and they had three children; Terry, Toni and Todd.
He worked as a Vocational Agriculture educator at Smithville and Broken Bow. Jack retired from teaching on the 5th of August 1993 but continued to pursue and share knowledge until his passing. He was inducted into the Broken Bow Alumina Association Hall of Fame in recognition of his exemplary contributions to Broken Bow Schools.
Jack was an active servant leader and fundraiser for the Jaycees supporting many civic activities in the Broken Bow area. He was an avid outdoorsman with a love of hunting and fishing. When he was no longer able to enjoy these pursuits, he shifted his focus to gardening where he and his daughter-in-law, Marsha, excelled at feeding the local deer population.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ferne Whitefield, and Van Brock; his loving wife, Doris (Hill) Brock and son, Terry Brock.
Jack leaves to cherish his memory, daughter and son-in-law, Toni and Mike Ryan, son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Doreen Brock; grandchildren, Jeremy Brock and Kristine, Michael Ryan and Shannon, Geoff Brock and Katy, Amanda Brock, Robert Brock and Laura, Casey Moon and Ian, Matthew Brock and Hannah, Nick Brock, Sierra Brock and Brandon Bezio, Jack Brock; a bushel of great-grandchildren; longtime friend, Howard Minor and a multitude of friends.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Bunch-Singelton Funeral Home.
Funeral Services are set for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
